TESTIMONIES from JAKARTA

This posting has testimonies from Jakarta ministry, sent by Liana, my coordinator there.

1. W got this vision to have a building of our own so we are free to do our activities i.e to pray anytime. She shared this vision with us maybe 2 months ago. She wants to invest her savings for that purpose. She has a Ruko in mind which location is strategic, so W was negotiating about the price and the deal was nearly closed. 3 Sept was the day that the deal will be closed, W's husband received the devastating news that the owners changed their mind and didn't want to sell the place. W was so disappointed she couldn't utter a word. She has put all her hopes in that one building. But her husband consoled her and said that surely God must have a better plan for them. In short she pulled herself up, D encouraged W and reminded her of your sermon to give thanks in everything. W started to praise God and thank God and lifter her disappointment to Him. And sure enough on Tuesday, W met a woman from her church and fleetingly mentioned at what happened, this woman has a friend who also has a Ruko in that complex that she wants to sell. The next day the woman from the church called Wendy and told her to call her friend. She has talked to her friend and her friend agreed to sell the building to W for the same price as the other one. But this building is in a better condition than the other in the sense you don't have to do the finishing anymore you only have to install an Aircon and put a door or so while the first is in a condition that needs a lot of finishing i.e. no tiles on the floor, etc. Thursday (2 days ago) W and her husband met the owner and the deal was closed! It's that easy! A great testimony how God protects and provides for His children. So God revealed it in time and God gives the best. So now PD Ruth has its own place. So next time you come to Jakarta PD Ruth will be at the new place!
2. Y. She was looking for a place to start an eating place, not a fancy one, just at the porch of a Ruko. But the place she has in mind is forbidden for vendors. She has prayed for a place to start her own business, she needed it because her husband is nearing his retirement. On Friday afternoon (31 Aug) when she came home from the meeting she received a phone call from the owner of the Ruko, telling her that she can have her foodstall at the porch of the Ruko and start doing her business on Monday 3 Sept! But before she received this phone call that Friday (31 Aug) a strange thing happened. A woman who seemed to be a bit lunatic slept or sit in front of her gate since the early morning hours. Yeta didn't have the heart to send her away, she gave the woman a drink and left to go to the meeting. When she came home the woman was still there, Y was looking for help from the Satpam to tell the woman to leave her house as it was getting dark. But before she could find someone, the phone rang with the good news. After she put down the phone and went outside to look for the woman, the woman was nowhere to be found!
3. ibu T. She was the elderly lady who looked fragile, she was the one who was nearly dancing when you prayed for her. One of her son became a drug addict and his wife was forced by her parents to leave him. And since then he went in and out of the rehabilitation center, but never got totally cured. He married a moslem woman and her parents didn't agree so her parents didn't acknowledge him as their son in law. When they found out that he was on drugs, the parents forced his wife and child to leave him and he is not allowed to get in touch with either his wife or child. That was 4 years ago. Suddenly out of the blue his inlaw called him last Thursday, 6 Sept telling him that now he can see his wife and child. So ibu T was overjoyed when she came to the meeting yesterday and gave her testimony! No wonder I saw her smile from face to face when she came to the meeting!
4. Si (the pregnant woman, who has been waiting to have this baby for 11 years). She prayed for her sister some time ago to have a child and a few days ago she got the news that her sister is positive pregnant! Si has undergone a great change since she's her pregnancy. Before she used to come late and on and off. But since her pregnancy she came regularly, mostly on time and if late never that late, she also progressed in her bible knowledge and her commitment to the Lord.
5. W. She and ibu T only recently joined PD Ruth in the sense coming regularly. W confessed to me yesterday that it was the third time she heard you preaching last Friday (31 Aug) She said that she doesn't like you during the past two meetings she's been at. I didn't ask what she mean with "doesn't like" may be what she mean is she wasn't touch by your preaching, but this time it's different, she said. When you prayed for her she cried and then you asked me to hug her, remember?
6. Catholic group. The fat woman, with her back pain, she's healed! No more pain, when she arrived home she walked straight! The other ladies from that group they all feel blessed.
