SCHOOL RETREAT

Wednesday 12th thru Friday the 14th was a retreat for teachers and staff for the school that I serve as ‘advisor.’ Basically, my primary role is to pray for them. This often ends up being counseling, and includes teachers bringing problem students to me to pray for them. They say it makes a visible difference! My role this year has been somewhat sporadic with all the travel I have been doing. And day after tomorrow (Monday) I take off again for five weeks.

Back to the retreat: it was held at a hotel in the mountains near Surabaya, so it was quite cool during the evenings. Theme was Becoming God Centered. End result: many touched by God, make new commitments to God and to their own lives. As with most retreats, it was full, but included sufficient play time with organized activities. I prepared devotions for the first and second evening, and for the second and third morning. This was a challenge with all the other things I was focused on the two weeks immediately prior to the retreat!
Many, including me, were blessed!
