My time in Jakarta was primarily to prepare for the For Lovers Only (FLO) retreat for pastors and wives Sept 3-5. I met with the committee, reviewing plans and since we have couples from the March retreat presenting modules during this retreat, we reviewed their presentations. We had a FLO Community gathering on Wednesday afternoon, and that evening met with the Roman Catholic group which plans to implement FLO as their own program. We will have a retreat for their leaders and wives November 9 - 11, and we will train them to conduct the retreat and FLO Community themselves. We are still working out details.
BIRTHDAY BOYAt one of the recent FLO gatherings, we celebrated Ruben's birthday at his home. The FLO Community arranged a surprise party for him, and he was really surprised!
Food is always a must at all gatherings in Indonesia.--HWK--
