PRACTICING PATIENCE

My apartment renovation is giving me much opportunity to practice what I preach! The people who installed the new granite floor have now been back 3 times and it still isn’t satisfactory! The new air conditioner doesn’t work yet, and now both my other existing aren’t working properly, either. Many of my things were used and destroyed by workers and there is the predictable ‘not me’ from all three groups involved. My coordinator doesn’t have a clue (appropriate to Indonesian culture, I think).

I have been back a week and fridge, microwave, etc are still in my room, making life very difficult. The laundry room was turned into a work room and so dirty and messed up with rubbish I can’t even enter. Good thing over the years I have accumulated enough clothing to tide me over!

Life is always interesting and exciting - keep Finding Joy and Avoiding Trauma, I keep reminding myself!
