EARTHQUAKE!!For those of you who hear about the earthquakes and many other natural disasters in Indonesia, and wonder if I am affected, The direct answer is no, I was not directly affected by the earthquake. Let me put this most recent one in perspective. The earthquake was in northern Sulawesi (formerly known as Dutch East Indies, or Spice Islands area). This is near the Philippines which is an archipelago stretching to the north above Sulawesi. I am about 1000 miles from there, a distance equivalent to Hawaii to California, or California to Texas.
