May in Central Java FLO Retreat 23-25

reat May 23-25: 12 couples started, one had to leave the second day so 11 couples finished. Venue was Salib Putih retreat center outside of Salatiga, Central Java, with fine facilities and wonderful view! Activities include couples praying together, worship, all kinds of games, some teaching sessions.

AMBON FLO AUGUST

Ambon: City (and Island) in Maluku, Indonesia. Often used erroneously for the entire area of central Maluku. Maluku were actually the Spice Islands during the Dutch Colony era. Almost entirely Christian until the Transmigration programs of the ‘70's and ‘80's when huge numbers of muslims were relocated, ostensibly to take them out of overcrowded city areas and give them land, but many believe, and the effect was, that it diluted Christian populations. Today about 50% of each. Beautiful place of abundance.

Christian: Offer self to die to give life to non-Christians
Muslim: Kill self in process of killing others
Christian: Die to self in serving others
RADICAL CHRISTIAN: ONE WHO REALLY BELIEVES AND FOLLOWS THE TEACHING OF JESUS (Turn the other cheek, bless your enemies, give out of your need, not your abundance, don't worry about anything, etc)
