Wide Open Spaces
After Las Vegas I visited my younger brother Jim in Arizona. This is desert land, and we went for drives in the desert. Very interesting and totally different than the tropical environment I am used to. Also it's wide open country space, much different than the city spaces I am used to. Weather was overcast, not the usual clear blue skies of the desert. It kept things cooler in the daytime which was fine with me! Since pictures are worth 1000 words I will fill the space with photos rather than words.
This big saguaro cactus is found only in Arizona. The hills where this photo was taken has been the site for many Western movies since the early 1950's.
