His mercies are New Every Day, and we likewise are renewed every day.
One benefit of Inside-Out living, shared earlier, is that we are freed from control from outside, especially and specifically, from our past. We are New Creations, created each day new in the Lord, no longer controlled by circumstances, past or present or future, but we are (if we choose to be) created new in the promises of God.
As the New Year Approaches, and we typically review the past year (for nostalgia, for evaluating and learning, or whatever reason) we look forward to a clean slate upon which history will be written.
